Selene Rose
Emerged out from under the rock of the Sunshine Coast, Selene Rose happily frolics the campus of UBC, the domain of UBC Improv. She has a burning passion for horses as well as dipping stale cookies in tea to revive them before eating (chocolate chip are best). Selene has horsey girl dreams of owning a large ranch in the interior Northern region of B.C. where she plans on keeping her beloved horse, Patches, until the day he croaks, along with a herd of other well-bred equines. Improv has always been an interest for Selene. She likes to think of her life as one big improvisation, and sometimes there happens to be an audience, such is the case on Fridays in Neville Scarfe 100. Selene is almost always super friendly, so if you catch a glimpse of her out 'n about give her a little smile and wink and she'll be happy to say hello!
Paloma Kwiatkowski
No one knows where Paloma came from. Some say she descended from a beautiful cloud. Some say she emerged from the deepest volcano. Others say she was the cause of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905. Those people are crazy. But there's one thing everyone agrees on. Paloma is mysterious. She creeps in the night, approaching passberbys with delicate stealth, to lean into their ears and whisper, "Yes, and ..." only for those frightened strangers to whip around their heads and find no trace of an improviser. She jokes and then she disappears. Only but a faint voice in the wind. "Harold ... Harold," it says, with the occasional cry of "Scramble" mixed into the fold. She is there, but not. She is on stage, yet she is in the audience. She is both present and lost. And like that, she's gone.
Thom Peters
Thom Peters is known primarily for his achievements in the music industry, as a gangsta MC. Unfortunately, the talented MC has had more than one brush with the law: he served a drug conviction prior to the start of his career as a hip-hop MC, just after he graduated from high school; and in 1993, he was charged with murder but was later found not guilty. Recently, Thom decided to change his name after traveling to Jamaica (where he worked on his reggae project) and met with a priest, who told him, "You are the light; you are the lion." Moved by the meeting, Thom immediately changed his name to Thom Lion.
Linden Maultsaid-Blair
Lindy has spent approximately 650 hours doing improv during his lifetime. Roughly 120 of those hours have been with UBC Improv. Lindy has spent approximately 1550 hours attending UBC. Roughly 950 of those have been spent sleeping. Lindy is majoring in Jokes with a minor in Napping.
Meghan McCabe
Does Meghan McCabe need a green chalkboard to rid the world of sexism? Absolutely not. That's why she decided to dress up as Gwen Stefani and stand in front of a flower wall. "What's all those things in her hair?" someone might ask. "Little buns of justice," she'd respond. But then she'd smile at you and make sure you got home safe. Because even vigilantes of the night enjoy hot cocoa in pajamas. And Meghan McCabe is both. A girl who goes to the Biltmore for Ice Cream Social Night but will damn well Clint-Eastwood-stare-down instigators of social injustice. She enjoys Girls, her super cool apartment, and everything to be amazing. Oh yeah, and improv. She likes that quite a bit as well.
Jayka Mayne
Jayka Mayne has never run away to join the circus. She has, however, run away from the circus to join "the improv." She is also one of roughly 16 people to ever posses a 6th place award from the Canadian Improv Games national tournament. As well as performing with UBCi, Jayka is also part of an Instant Theatre conservatory ensemble. When she is not improvising, Jayka can be found...

Jesse Brown
For years now, Jesse has been pretending to be things he isn’t - but never before has he had to make up his bullshit on stage in front of a live audience. He’s creative, he’s weird - and he’s under the impression that he’s funny. He aspires to become a famous, wealthy writer, but in case that doesn’t pan out, he’s got a backup plan: high brow parody pornos.

Nicole Passmore is a veteran of the Vancouver improv and comedy scenes. With over 13 years of improv experience under her belt, she is one-half of the duo Virginia Jack, one-seventh of the super-group Who Tang Clan, and a member of Instant Theatre. She is a co-founder and alumna of the sketch group Pump Trolley Comedy, and has regularly performed sketch for the Hero Show, Music Waste, and the Olio Festival. She is a trainer, judge, and former coach for the Canadian Improv Games, a national high school tournament that she herself competed in. She played the lovable Joan on the Leo award-nominated web series Mental Beast, and yes, she is the deranged hot dog in that Dan Mangan music video.
