Kenta Nezu

GAME START
You wake up and find yourself in a room with a chair, a bed, a piece of paper and a door. What do you do?
>> Attack the chair.
You foolishly flail at the chair and manage to break your arms in the process. The chair is unharmed. What do you do?
>> Act like a chicken.
You make yourself a comfortable nest out of bed sheets and try to squawk like a chicken. You hurt your ears with the noise and feel like an idiot. What do you do?
>> Pick up the piece of paper.
Picking up the piece of paper, you notice words on it. It reads, “Kenta Nezu is in his second year and performs with UBC improv”. That is complete gibberish to you and this Kenta person sounds like a buffoon, but you feel a strange urge to see what this ‘improv’ is. What do you do?
>> Open the door and find this ‘improv’.
Your open the door and leave to the nearest Scarfe 100 lecture room, enjoying the improv show. Your arm is still broken though, and the protruding bones get infected a few days later.

Selene Rose

Selene Rose is the best little horse. She likes to go swimming in the ocean. Shes quite a gutsy little filly - She jumps, she barrel races, she runs and frolics in the pasture. She loves to eat she’s got such a good little appetite, munches down on food like you wouldn’t believe. She gets cranky though - when she’s eating and someone stands by her food; she puts her ears back and she says “hey that’s my food” - but if you just give her a little smack on the neck she’ll back off. She doesn’t like making direct eye contact, she gets nervous and looks away. Shes a very mellow girl, nothing spooks her. One time she walked past a bear, she just walked by so confidently, she didn’t even look at that bear, she just walked right past! She’s quite a tame creature, she can be quite loving, she'll nuzzle you, she’ll blow you sweet kisses with her hay smelling breath. Shes a fast little crazy thing too - she can outrun a thoroughbred horse for a quarter of a mile!
Louis Deschner

Louis is in his fourth year at UBC and his first with UBCimprov. Clearly, he is an expert at looking casual in pictures. He is also the best listener you will ever encounter, and he deals advice that will redefine your entire existence. Seriously. Anyone who has ever approached him with a problem has walked away with more insight than six of those Chicken Soup books could ever offer. One day, he talked twelve middle-aged executives into career switches, and there are now twelve more parrot breeders in the Lower Mainland. The world needs more parrots. The world needs more Louis Deschners.
Thomas Peters

Thom Peters, born June 30, 1985 in Baltimore Maryland, is an American swimmer who has won 16 Olympic medals six gold and two bronze at Athens in 2004, and eight gold at Beijing in 2008. Peters holds the record for the most gold medals won in a single Olympics and his medal total is second only to gymnast Larissa Latynina.
Ghazal Azarbad

Ghazal has been acting and singing since she was 3 but didn't know that it was called "acting" and "singing" until the curious age of 12. Her Nicki Minaj phase came much later (this past summer) and is the reason why she has been referred to as Ghazebra, GhazizzleMaNizzle, Ghazillionaire, Ghizzy Azarbad-ass, and Ghizzy Jiha-had - all of which she is proud of. When she's not rapping, singing, or acting, you can find Ghazal being spontaneous on UBC Improv, which she is now in her second year of, and/or selling Pandora charm bracelets to women in their 40's; somewhere in between there, she may be studying/napping in the aquatic centre; if none of these apply, then she is most definitely on public transit going a few lightyears east to Coquitlam. Ghazal loves performing, loves her life, and loves the song "Good Life" by OneRepublic.
Linden Maultsaid-Blair

This is Linden’s first year with UBCimprov, and so far, his best. His first exposure to acting was a children’s summer drama camp at Kitsilano community centre when he was five. Linden got parts in many of his high school drama productions, including two where he got slapped, one where he was a bartender, and one where he got to write about rhinoceroses. He competed in the Canadian Improv Games for four years in high school, and coached his team for the last two. All of his grandparents think he’s going to become some famous actor but secretly he “hates that crap” and just wants to listen to loud music and eat shortbread. He is also currently enrolled in the Conservatory program with Instant Theatre. Linden would like to someday improvise with the cool guys on the self-directed team.
Kelsey Land

Kelsey is thrilled to be a part of the UBC Improv team. This is will be her theatrical debut since being an understudy for the Blue Man Group for over 15 years. She is excited to use her physical comedy skills she obtained during her work on Cheersand MASH. Kelsey can also be seen as a stunt double in Bridget Jones' Diary and Mission Impossible I and III. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys hot glue gunning whilst narrating her actions in the third person.
Meghan McCabe

Twin 350 engines, v-drives (the port v-drive and transmission were rebuilt last fall), Livingston dingy, many spare parts, brand new (still in the box) $400 Eagle Chart Plotter, has dual stations with depth sounders, GPS, vhf radios, propane 3 burner stove and oven, propane firnace heater, head with shower, custom made dining table and teak steps to fly deck, 11 ft beam, and so much more...she is a must see
Jeremy Fitzgerald

Jeremy Fitzgerald was born across the ocean in a land far far away, in the before-time. Since his notable and, lets face it, ridiculously impressive Atlantic crossing Jeremy decided to focus his attention on the incredible and mystical art of improvised theater. Following this decision Jeremy has had just buckets of fun improvising with UBC Improv, and is currently in his third year with the prestigious and internationally recognized company. Also he really likes puppies. Also he is in a frat. Also he is really really excited for this year and hopes that you will all come to UBC Improv's amazing shows and watch this team kick some butt!
